We are looking for a Finance Operations Analyst to join us. You'll be monitoring and actioning upon financial data quality controls, executing operational tasks to identify and solving inconsistencies in financial data. You'll also contribute into the closing of monthly financials and financial audit processes plus you'll improve alignment and efficiency of daily operational processes in our finance team.

You will ensure:

  • Ensure operational processes and controls in Finance product team are ran smoothly resulting in timely and reliable financials
  • Work across teams to fix data quality issues, such as missing or incorrect data and run operational processes together with product data
  • Support other teams reliant on data quality with reporting and insights. This should allow them to understand the reliability of financial data and make informed business decisions based on it

A bit about you:

  • Self-sufficient with data analytics - you are good with data, able to use SQL and basic functions of data visualization tools
  • Experience with executing data controls and control processes, possibly working with auditors or regulators
  • You love digging in data, numbers, thinking systematically, and analyzing inter-dependencies. You like to keep things in order, investigating data riddles and head-scratching challenges
  • You have good knowledge of accounting and can understand the meaning and logic behind detailed financial data
  • Team player - able to work across teams and functions
  • Ability to work independently and plan on your own

Financial Reporting team will own the responsibility of collecting data for regulatory reporting, which is a key function for spendpi. This role gives a great entry point to the world of spendpi, as well as the chance to be at the very fundamental regulatory focused part of the business.We need timely, accurate and scalable financial data to be compliant with regulations and make accurate business decisions inside the company.

You will ensure:

  • Reporting capabilities are essential to make the right direction, comply with regulatory, financial and tax requirements
  • Work with Reporting team, Group Financial Controller, Regional Controllers and Head of Tax to build compliant data and reports to submit to regulatory authorities, internal control and monthly results reports
  • Create the reporting data back-up from our data systems in a timely fashion as per the definitions agreed with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with finance teams, especially Finance Systems team to help create accurate reporting automatically from the source systems, with clear definitions, accurate and timely populated summary data layers and change management
  • Build and maintain other reports/models as required e.g. internal month-end reports or pricing model
  • Build new reports as required by stakeholders in visualization tools e.g. looker, tableau, excel, sourcing the data through detailed SQL queries
